Join us in becoming a generous community
Each week we say a liturgy that comes directly from Scripture and was crafted by trusted voices in our community as a way to form our hearts out of the ways of this world, and into the way of Jesus.
We want to close gap between our current standards of generosity and the Kingdom standards taught by Jesus, and we want to invite you to join in what God is doing here at Church of the City.
We believe this can happen in three ways:
1. If you are not already giving, we invite you to start giving.
2. If you are giving periodically, we invite you to begin regular, recurring donations.
3. If you have been giving regularly, thank you so much! We invite you to ask God if there are any ways He is inviting you into further generosity.
If you call Church of the City your home, consistently enjoy our content and teachings, or want to support the work God is doing in our church, we encourage you to sincerely pray about the asks above, and let the Spirit lead you forward.
FINANCIAL UPDATE
This year we will be focusing on three initiatives through our 2024 end of year giving campaign Living the Liturgy: A Center of Vocational Mission, a Center for Cultural Apologetics, and a Real Estate Expansion Plan as our community continues to grow.
This year, we set out to raise $3 million, and we raised $3,247,221, which is 108% of our goal!
Thank you so much to everyone who lived the liturgy with us. Every step of faith and obedience taken by our community, both in New York City and beyond, reflects the Lord’s generous heart. We are excited to see the blessing this offering will bring to fund ministries and fulfill new initiatives during this coming year. If you would still like to give to these initiatives, you can do so below.

Most people come to New York with a sense of ambition and vision for their life, but struggle to connect their faith to their work. We are committed to helping people figure out how their faith intersects with what they do all week long, and we hope to do this through a Center for VocationalMission.
We want to help you get a Kingdom vision for your life in the city. We believe a Center for Vocational Mission will equip and empower you to take your faith beyond Sunday Services, and seek first the rule and reign of Jesus in every sphere of society. -
We want to bring the best pastors, theologians, and ethicists in the world together here through our church, to work on the most pressing cultural issues, to give you, your family, and your friends, Biblical, compelling answers and resources to the biggest questions of our time. This is all a part of equipping and resourcing you to be Compelling Missional Disciples everywhere you go.

As new foundations are being laid in the Kingdom ecosystem of New York, we are settling in to being an established church in the city. We desire to build a thoughtful, long term Real Estate Expansion Plan
As first step, we are expanding our Ministry Center in Hell's Kitchen as a place for not only these initiatives to exist, but as a way to help other ministries here in New York City thrive. We are working to leverage what God is doing in our church for the sake of the city and for the sake of others through the spaces we occupy.
We want to thank so many of you for supporting Church of the City New York through Living the Liturgy last year, and invite you to check out the impact your giving had in and through our church through the 2024 Financial Report.
Please take some time to read and reflect through the statistics and stories we have gathered together, and join us in thanking God for His work in and through our community throughout the past year.
Generosity Liturgy
We invite you to take a moment and read our Generosity Liturgy that we say together corporately, every Sunday, as a practice of counter-formation, to cultivate our hearts in the direction of generosity.
Holy Father, there is nothing I have that You have not given me. All I have and am belong to You, bought with the blood of Jesus. To spend everything on myself, and to give without sacrifice, is the way of the world that You cannot abide.
But generosity is the way of those who call Christ their Lord; who love Him with free hearts and serve Him with renewed minds. Who withstand the delusion of riches that chokes the word; Whose hearts are in your kingdom and not in the systems of the world.
I am determined to increase in generosity until it can be said that there is no needy person among us. I am determined to be trustworthy with such a little thing as money that You may trust me with true riches.
Above all, I am determined to be generous because You, Father, are generous. It is the delight of Your daughters and sons to share Your traits, and to show what You are like to all the world.
Amen.
