Join us in becoming a generous community
LIVING THE LITURGY
Each week we say a liturgy that comes directly from Scripture and was crafted by trusted voices in our community as a way to form our hearts out of the ways of this world, and into the way of Jesus. If you have been around Church of the City for a while, you know that at the end of each year we focus in on closing the gap between our current standards of generosity and the Kingdom standards taught by Jesus through our end of year giving campaign, called Living the Liturgy.
LOOKING AHEAD
This year will be focusing on three initiatives through Living the Liturgy: A center of Vocational Mission, a Center for Cultural Apologetics, and a Real Estate Expansion plan as our community continues to grow.
We're excited about where we’re headed as a church, we’re in awe of what God’s done and we want you to be a part of it by living the liturgy.
We believe this can happen in three ways:
If you are not already giving, we invite you to start giving.
If you are giving periodically, we invite you to begin regular, recurring donations.
If you have been giving regularly, thank you! This year, we want to invite you to go above and beyond in sacrificial giving.
We believe that together, as a church community, we can raise $3 million dollars to fund the advancement of God’s Kingdom in New York City and beyond.
If you call Church of the City your home, consistently enjoy our content and teachings, or want to support the work God is doing in our church, we encourage you to step out in generosity by giving to Living the Liturgy.
Giving to this offering will look different for every person, so we invite you to sincerely pray about the asks above, and let the Spirit lead you forward.

CHURCH OF THE CITY FINANCIAL REPORT
We invite you to look through our 2024 Financial Report. Please take some time to read and reflect through these statistics and stories we have gathered together, and join us in thanking God for His work in and through our community throughout the past year.
GENEROSITY LITURGY
We invite you to take a moment and read our Generosity Liturgy that we say together corporately, every Sunday, as a practice of counter-formation, to cultivate our hearts in the direction of generosity.
Holy Father, there is nothing I have that You have not given me. All I have and am belong to You, bought with the blood of Jesus. To spend everything on myself, and to give without sacrifice, is the way of the world that You cannot abide.
But generosity is the way of those who call Christ their Lord; who love Him with free hearts and serve Him with renewed minds. Who withstand the delusion of riches that chokes the word; Whose hearts are in your kingdom and not in the systems of the world.
I am determined to increase in generosity until it can be said that there is no needy person among us. I am determined to be trustworthy with such a little thing as money that You may trust me with true riches.
Above all, I am determined to be generous because You, Father, are generous. It is the delight of Your daughters and sons to share Your traits, and to show what You are like to all the world.
Amen.
